Nothing like #quarantinelife
to rediscover the simple luxuries of #stayingathome
Of smelling the flowers of that tree that leans towards our balcony. Of feeding that stray dog at the gates, then beholding the joy in those eyes and that wagging tail.
Of cooking those dishes we always wanted to try out, and maybe screwing up and remembering why we had stopped trying them in the first place. Pssst.. 😉just change course midway if that happens, make into something edible and give it a name!
Of pulling out that carrom or chess board we had stashed away years back, and spending time with family over it. Then realising how bad we suck at those now..pssst, just pretend you're worried about your stock prices and unable to focus..lol. Of hiding the wife's or sister's make up kit and playing dumb. To sit with tea and snacks and watch the sunset, hoping monkeys show up (oh yeah, monkeys have started roaming around in Bangalore where I stay). I took some time off Netflix for these things. They're worth it, I find.
Hoping the world heals soon and the affected ones among us get treated well.
