Thank you to @saricastudio
for sharing her journal journey and also her thoughts on Women's History Month as both an artist and a mother
Q. What made you start journaling?
“I've had a fascination with journaling and memory keeping since I was a young child. At first, my motivation was to keep a record of my days so that I could remember them in the future. Soon it evolved to include emotional processing and creative expression."
Q. What is something you'd like everyone to be aware of this Women's History Month?
"As a new mom, I was worried that I would have to give up my art career and to be a good mother. But when I created this spread of several role models for Women's History Month, I realized that many of the women who made their mark in history were also mothers. I realized that I don't have to replace my entire identity in motherhood; in fact, I found that it has added more to my experience as a woman and an artist."
